My hope is that every listener feels safe and welcomed, leaving each episode motivated to enhance their lives. We’re breaking generational cycles, pivoting towards positive change, and, of course, having some good girl timeee!!!

Pregnant at 13: The Dark Truth About My Father's Life Ft. Zizo Apleni
In this episode, Zizo shares a deeply personal journey that spans from childhood to early adulthood, beginning with a strong declaration that they refuse to be introduced as a victim, despite the hardships she faced. Growing up in South Africa, she emphasizes the need for open-mindedness to navigate the complexities of life there. A significant part of her story involves the painful reality of their father denying their existence before she was even born and the challenging relationship she had with their stepmother.
The speaker also highlights how body language can reveal the presence of an abuser, shedding light on the subtle signs often overlooked. Despite the trauma, they express gratitude for their mother's love, which persisted despite everything that happened.
The narrative touches on the crucial absence of sex education during her early teenage years, which left her vulnerable to harm - She became pregnant for her own dad.
She warns of the dangers of staying silent when abused, underscoring the severe consequences that come with it. As a teenager, she was gripped by fear of men, exacerbated by numerous court proceedings, which added to their already overwhelming stress.
